Hey Napa.

The news lately feels like a slow-motion car crash you can’t look away from. America is sliding into fascism while we all doom scroll ourselves numb. Not cute.

But here’s the thing: outrage in the group chat doesn’t change much. What does: showing up here, where we actually live. Napa has its own frontline, taking the form of neighbors running vigils, organizing mutual aid, protecting queer kids, pushing back on ICE raids, and fighting for the climate.

Instead of giving all your attention to the national collapse 24/7, pick a cause and dedicate yourself to it. Start by following these local accounts to give you inspo. They’re the ones keeping Napa human, livable, and loud.

Stop Napa Hate | A pulse check on rallies, vigils, and calls to action. Less doomscrolling, more doing.

Napa Mutual Aid | Their Linktree alone is a masterclass in community care — donate, volunteer, protest, repeat.

North Bay Rapid Response Network | Real-time ICE and police alerts plus the resources to fight back.

Queer Leaders Coalition | Local queer organizers making space for meet-ups, activism, and joy.

Free Mom Hugs | Restoring families one hug at a time. The Napa chapter shows up big for LGBTQIA+ youth.

Indivisible Napa | Resistance HQ. Think protests, trainings, and the next No Kings Day (mark your cal for 10.18).

NVC Title IX and Civil Rights | Creating safe spaces and support networks for students — and anyone who needs it.

Mentis and Shine Napa Valley | Because mental health is community health. Focused on youth and beyond.

Napa Climate Now | Local activists pushing for climate action that doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.

Working Families Party | Not a local account, but this party truly is fighting for us normies and provides resources to take action on a local level.

Now, because we contain multitudes, let’s swing from fascism to the day-to-day living we all need to do around here.

Coming up: a matcha flight worth buzzing over, a house with a sunroom that begs to be worshipped, and the midweek happenings you actually want on your calendar.

Onward…

Macha Makes the Jump from TikTok Trend to IRL Takeover

Napa is wine country, sure. But lately, another ritual is bubbling up: matcha. I kept hearing it everywhere — brunch lines, group chats, TikTok. So I asked around, hit Yelp, and set out on a tasting tour. Three stops, three cups, one valley suddenly obsessed with green froth. Hit the button below to read all about it.

REAL ESTATE

The Main Reason to Buy 108 Randolph? This Sunroom.

Yes, it’s on a corner lot, has historic charm, an ADU apartment, even a car charger. The crown jewel is the sunroom, bathed in light, its mirrored wall amplifying the glow and doors that blur the line between indoors and the garden beyond. Aaaaaah-mazing. In a house full of smart updates, this room feels like pure indulgence and your daily reminder that home should be as beautiful as it is functional.

Missing your sidekick? Napa County Animal Shelter might have them. This week’s lineup includes dogs, cats — and yes, a bunny or two — waiting to be claimed.

Trying out this Tuesday thing, but will see you again on Thursday for your weekend lineup. Let me know what you think! And if you like what you’re reading, please share with a friend.
